Champion Cheese Competition
The Lake District Cheese Co’s Extra Mature Cheddar was crowned Champion Cheese at the prestigious Royal Highland Show. To find out what all the fuss is about, we’re giving you the chance to taste this dairy delight for yourselves.

Terms and Conditions
- To take part in this competition “Promotion” email us your cheesiest joke at britishcheese@kindredagency.com or tell it over the phone by calling 020 7612 8930. There is a maximum of one entry per person and you should include a phone number and postal address in your entry so that we can post your prize to you, if you win.
- Ten winners will be selected by a panel of judges and the winning entries will be the jokes which, in the opinion of the panel of judges (which shall comprise at least one independent judge), are the most original, most amusing and most cheesy.
- Winning jokes will be posted onto Facebook and Twitter and the name of the person that submitted each joke will be posted alongside.
- Closing date: all entries must be received by 12 noon on Friday 23 July 2010.
- Prize: one packet of Lake District Cheese Co Extra Mature Cheddar will be awarded to ten winners.
- This Promotion is open to all residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over. Proof of age may be required. Employees of any group company of the Promoter, companies associated with the Promotion and all affiliates of such companies may not enter this Promotion. Maximum of one entry per person and per household.
- There is no cash alternative to the prizes and the prizes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- The judges’ and Promoter’s decisions shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- By entering, all entrants confirm that they own the copyright in the joke and licence the British Cheese Board and their authorised representatives, the right to publish and use each entry on any and all media (including print and online media and social networks).
- Details of prize winners’ names and county will be available for one month after the close of the Promotion by writing to the Promoter at the address set out below and stating the name and date of the Promotion.
- The Promoter does not accept responsibility for network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry.
- The Promoter and its business partners may also use the details you give us to contact you about our products and services. By entering this Promotion you are indicating your agreement to this unless you tell us otherwise.
- Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them when entering this Promotion.
- If you are a winner, we will contact you one day before your delivery is dispatched. All prizes will be delivered in temperature controlled packaging. Normal delivery times are Tuesdays & Thursdays between the hours of 8am and 6pm. It is your responsibility to ensure that an appropriate person is available at the delivery address at all times during the delivery period. If nobody is available at the delivery address we will leave the prize unattended at your address. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or in respect of fraud, and so far as is permitted by law, we and our agents expressly disclaim all liability which may arise by virtue of the delivery being left unattended for a period of time or for any act or default of any third party supplier which are beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control. This disclaimer includes but is not limited to theft, tampering, contamination and the result of any change in temperature in respect of items which need to be kept chilled.
- This Promotion, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this Promotion.
