Cornish Country Larder Ltd produces a superb range of award winning dairy products. The company takes enormous pride in creating innovative, new and delicious products using a range of milk types including cows, goats and organic cows.
The company was started in 1996 by two farming families who were looking to do something a bit different with their milk.
St Endellion Luxury Cornish Brie
Made using Cornish double cream, St Endellion Luxury Cornish Brie has earned the word luxury. It has a temptingly rich, full flavour and follows the traditional recipe for Brie - ripening from the outside in. A deliciously creamy and full-bodied cheese, leave it loosely wrapped for a couple of hours so that it begins to ooze from within the rind before devouring it with a light, spicy, medium white wine.
Cornish Olde Smokey
This semi-hard, handmade cheese has a deliciously sweet, fruity flavour and a distinctive golden glazed colour. At five months old it is traditionally wood smoked over Cornish fruitwoods. This process lends a truly nostalgic flavour and quality that blends perfectly with the character of the cheese. Cornish Olde Smokey finds an excellent accompaniment in some fresh crusty bread and a glass of Shiraz.
Cornish Organic Brie
Neither cooked nor pressed, this cheese has a semi-soft consistency with a lovely bloomy rind. As the cheese ripens it develops a beautiful creamy texture and releases a distinctive mellow flavour as it melts in the mouth. A connoisseur's choice, Cornish Organic Brie perfectly compliments a range of medium white wines and delicate fruity reds.
